Soumitra 's biopic 'Abhijaan' makes it to the London Indian Film Festival
With SoumitraChattopadhyay's latest passing, the emotions of team 'Abhijaan' are bittersweet no doubt. Come to be it JisshuSengupta who's playing a Soumitra in the film or ParambrataChattopadhyay who's directing biopic, everyone possesses said it's an emotional roller coaster drive for them. The much-awaited biopic is currently an official variety at the prestigious London Indian Film Event. What a way to get started on the film's festival voyage!

In the film, made by Rataan Shree Nirman& Roadshow Films Pvt. Ltd, SoumitraChattopadhyay who passed on last November will be observed in his elderly era while JisshuSengupta will essay the role of a younger Soumitra. Aside from Jisshu, Paoli Dam will be observed as Suchitra Sen, critically acclaimed filmmaker Qaushiq Mukherjee will essay Satyajit Ray. Sohini Sarkar will take up MadhabiMukhopadhyay. Rudranil Ghosh will take on the purpose of legendary Rabi Ghosh.

"The starting place was this present from my co-producers which doctor who's a resident of NJ who has been in charge of translating Soumitrajethu's prose works into English, hence they came up with the thought that something similar to this might be thought of... and they shared the idea with me. And once they did, I had taken a good two three weeks to choose whether this can make for an exciting proposition. And slowly I reached the final outcome that yes, SoumitraChattapadhyay's lifestyle can be viewed, can be seen from some perspective, not simply as a film actor that everybody in Bengal recognizes," Parambrata had earlier told ETimes while talking about the biopic.
