'Sisimpur' to air on Duranata TV
Popular educational children's TV series 'Sisimpur' is set to be broadcast on Duronto TV.
'Sisimpur' will be aired three times every day on the TV channel. Executive Director of 'Sisimpur' Mohammad Shah Alam confirmed the news at a press briefing on Tuesday evening. He further said 'Sisimpur' will also be broadcast on Bangladesh Television and RTV. It will be aired on 8:00am, 12:30pm and 5:30pm.
'Sisimpur' began its journey in 2005, with the aim of making learning enjoyable for children. The 15th anniversary of the show will be on Pohela Boishakh, 2020, and a number of special events are planned for the year.
We have successfully finished the 12 seasons of the production. We are currently shooting the 13th and 14th seasons and the 12 seasons that have been aired include 700 episodes, said executive director of Sesame Workshop Mohammad Shah Alam at a press conference held at Biswa Sahitya Kendra on Tuesday.
'Sisimpur' has reached people in remote areas as well as in cities. A survey conducted by BBC World Services in 2010 revealed that 'Sisimpur' had reached the top spot among shows for children, and reached third position overall in terms of reach. Now the show is going to be aired on Duronto TV. I hope that the show's popularity will continue to rise," Alam added.
According to Executive Producer Monoar Shahdat Darpan, popular characters of the show Ikri, Halum, Shiku, and Tuktuki will be joined by a new character, Julia, in future seasons.
