Shah AMS Kibria's son wants Oikya Front nomination
Reza Kibria, son of former Awami League finance minister Shah AMS Kibria, has joined Gano Forum to get Oikya Front nomination in Habiganj-1 (Nabiganj-Bahubal) constituency.
He told a Bangla daily that he is not agree with the way Awami League had run the country in last 10 years. “Awami League has derailed from the ideology cherished by my father Shah AMS Kibria and AL chief Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
Economist Reza said there was no progress in the SAMS Kibria murder case during the BNP rule or by the subsequent caretaker government. Awami League also did not take any initiative for proper investigation or trial of the killing of his father that occurred in 2005.
He alleged that the plaintiff of the case Abdul Mazid Khan MP forced his mother to agree to an (unacceptable) investigation.
Reza Kibria said he talked to Dr Kamal Hossain over his candidature from Habiganj-1 constituency.
