SC cancels bail of Rashed Chisty
The Appellate Division on Tuesday cancelled bail of Rashedul Haque, son of former chairman of Farmers Lender audit committee Mahabubul Haque Chisty, in a cash laundering case.
Concurrently, the court as well directed the trial court to dispose the case as soon as possible.
A virtual bench of the Appelate Division led by Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the buy.
Lawyer or attorney Md Khurshid Alam Khan stood on behalf of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) even while Adv Shahriara Kabir for the petitioner.
On May 19, last year, the low court granted bail to Rashedul Haque in several cases. Later, the ACC filed a petition searching for stick to the bail.
On December 15, 2019, the ACC filed five separate cases with its Integrated District Office-1 of Dhaka against Chisty, his wife Ruzy Chisty, boy, girl Rimi Chisty and his son's wife Farhana Ahmed.
