Veteran Bengali actress Sandhya Roy has been admitted to an exclusive hospital in Kolkata following difficulties in breathing and fever. "Her condition is currently stable," said a healthcare facility sources.

The actress has been kept in isolation because of showing Covid-19 symptoms. Her samples have already been collected and sent for testing. Necessary treatment has been started as per the symptoms. According to hospital sources, Sandhya Roy's health checkup is underway, however, her blood circulation pressure is normal.

Meanwhile, the news of the illness of Sandhya Roy, once a favorite actress in the Bengali film world, found light - artists and artisans wished her a speedy recovery. Sandhya Roy entered the acting world in the '50s. Her first film was 'Antariksha' by Rajen Tarafdar. Her performances in the films like 'Pasher Barir Meye', 'Ganga', 'Mayamrig', 'Palatak', 'Baghini', 'Arogya Niketan', 'Thagini' are never-to-be-forgotten. 'Baba Taraknath' brought the actress to the very best of fame overnight. With that popularity, she was nominated as the winning applicant from the Medinipur Lok Sabha constituency in 2014. The actress got a huge vote and became an MP in the Lok Sabha.
