Sajeeb Wazed appears over the internet to inspire youth initiatives
Primary Minister's ICT Adviser and CRI Chairperson Sajeeb Wazed Joy on Tuesday night time made his first overall look online after almost a good year to inspire youngsters to play role as changemakers found in the country to build Sonar Bangla.
From the united states, getting connected to Joy Bangla Youth Award (JBYA) 2020 event, he said the COVID-19 induced lockdown led to holding the award giving ceremony online, a testament of making the pledge of Digital Bangladesh possible.
Expressing his gratitude to the youths doing work across the county voluntarily, he said youth need to think of themselves rather than always rely upon the suggestions of seniors.
"Youth need to take initiatives," Sajeeb Wazed explained encouraging them never to always depend on the grey-haired intellectuals.
While announcing the winners, Sajeeb Wazed said the purpose of Young Bangla since its inception has gone to place those youth organisations on same thread and get their little initiatives organised and recognized.
October 24 2019, Sajeeb Wazed appeared in "Let’s Talk" event getting together with several youths at ‘Youth on Politics, a session of Little Bangla with Sajeeb Wazed.
A year after, he has built his appearance online to mention several young changemakers nominated for the Joy Bangla Youth Award.
In between this time, he has been identified active urging people to check out health guidelines to avoid the distributed of COVID-19, through social media, in a sharp contrast to building frequent appearances for hurling political rethorics , a trait regular in the country’s political aspect.
This season marks the fourth edition of the ceremony and his attempt to get youths encouraged in dealing with social menaces has been paying down.
He recognized the initiatives of young visionaries to turn around their communities, infusing a new vigor among youths to step of progress to change the span of progress in their respective societies.
This season, 30 organisations have already been given the award and attached to the network of young Bangla
Since its inception in November 2014, Joy Bangla Youth Award, named following the historical pro-liberation slogan 'Joy Bangla', Young Bangla, the youth front of CRI, has been awarding young persons of organisations work by young persons whose vision and initiatives catalysed great change in society.
