Road crashes kill 2 in Pabna, Jhenaidah
An elderly man and an auto-rickshaw passenger were killed in separate road accidents on Pabna-Nagarbari Highway and Jhenaidah sadar upazila Sunday (August 5).
Media correspondents reported the accidents from the respective districts.
In Pabna, Almagir Sheikh, 39, was killed and two others injured as a tank lorry collided with an auto-rickshaw on Pabna-Nagarbari Highway in Dhobahata area of the upazila around 7pm.
Pabna Madhpur Highway Police In-Charge Abu Saleh confirmed the matter.
In Jhenaidah, one Badar Uddin, 65, was crushed to death by a tractor on the Gopalpur Road in Durgapur area of the upazila, around 5:30pm.
Gopalpur Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Nirab Hossain confirmed the matter.
Police recovered the body from the spot and sent to Jhenaidah sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
