Regent Medical center chairman among 17 sued
A circumstance has been filed with respect to Rapid Actions Battalion (RAB) against Regent Medical center accusing 17 persons, including its chairman Md Shahed.
Uttara West Law enforcement Station OC Tapan Chandra Saha said the case was filed on Tuesday nighttime.
He said the elite pressure filed the case bringing different expenses, including providing fake corona test out report to the patients, embezlling of money.
Of the 17 accused, a healthcare facility MD Masud Parvez and seven others were arrested. However the chairman and eight others happen to be absconding.
On Tuesday afternoon, the RAB sealed off the top office of Regent and two of its hospitals.
A good RAB official said the hospitals earned at least Tk 3.5 crore producing fake Covid-19 certificates.
