Rain, thundershowers likely above country
Bangladesh Meteorological Division (BMD) in Sunday forecast mild to average rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind for many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet Divisions, for the a day till Tuesday evening.
The same was forecast for a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern area of the country, said a BMD bulletin.
The low over West central Bay away Andhra coast intensified right into a well-marked low and lies more than West Central Bay and adjoining Andhra coast which is associated trough reaches North Bay, it said.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh, BMD said.
Monsoon is rather active above Bangladesh and moderate above North Bay, it added.
