Rail link of Dhaka with northern parts halted
Dhaka's rail communication with northern parts suspended following damage of the engine of a train in Kamarkhanda upazila of Sirajganj on Thursday morning.
Jamtoil Railway Station Master Abdur Rahman said the engine of a Dhaka-bound train of 'Rajshahi Express' went out of service at Dhaka-Ishwardi rail line around 8:30am.
The rail communication on the route remained suspended soon after the incident.
West Region Railway Pakshi Divisional Transport officer Abdullaha Al Mamun said a relief is trying to salvage the engine.
