Rafiqul DRU president, Riaz general secretary
Rafiqul Islam Azad of Special Correspondent of the English daily The Independent and Riaz Chowdhury, chief reporter of the Asian Mail were elected as president and general secretary of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity respectively.
The results were announced in presence of a member of Election Commission Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul. Chairman of EC Riaz Uddin Ahmed was also present.
The voting started around 9:00am at Sagar-Runi Auditorium of DRU office in Segunbagicha in the capital and continued till 5:00pm without any break on Saturday (November 30).
