Priya Saha’s allegations not correct: US envoy
US Ambassador in Dhaka, Earl R Miller, said allegations made by Bangladeshi woman Priya Saha to US President Donald Trump about oppression of minorities in Bangladesh are not correct.
US Ambassador in Dhaka, Earl R Miller told reporters while answering their questions during his visit to Buddhist Vihara in the capital's Merul Badda on Friday (July 19).
Upon his arrival at Buddhist shrine of Merul Badda, Buddhist religious leaders welcomed the US ambassador. The US ambassador went around the traditional Buddhist temple and interacted with leaders of Buddhism.
The US ambassador described Bangladesh as a country of communal harmony.
Priya Saha complained to US President Donald Trump about oppression of minorities in Bangladesh. That complaint went viral in social media.
