PM pays respects to Bangabandhu
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Wednesday.
She also placed floral wreath at Bangabandhu's grave and offered special prayers for him and his family members who were assassinated in 1975.
Earlier, the prime minister reached Tungipara at about 2:05pm.
Her younger sister Sheikh Rehana was also present there among other party leaders.
The premier will start her election campaign with addressing a public rally at Kotalipara at about 3pm.
