PBI recovers burqa used during Nusrat murder
Police recovered a burqa, used by one of the main accused Jubayer Ahmed during the killing of Feni Madrasa Student Nusrat Jahan Rafi, from a pond at Dangikhal in Sonagazi upazila on Saturday morning.
A team of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) recovered the burqa near Sonagazi Government College during a drive.
The PBI conducted the drive alongwith Jubayer.
PBI Inspector Md Shah Alam, also the IO of the case, confirmed the matter.
Kamrun Nahar Moni, another accused in the case bought three burqas from a shop in Sonagazi.
Shahadat, Jubayer and Jaber went to the roof wearing burqas along with Kamrun Nahar Moni and Umme Sultana Poppy before setting fire to Nusrat.
On April 6, Nusrat Jahan Rafi, an Aleem examinee from Sonagazi Fazil Madrasha, was set on fire allegedly by some fellows as she refused to withdraw a case filed against the madrasha principal for sexual harassment.
She died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday night.
