Panchagarh man gets life term for killing parents
A district court has sentenced life term imprisonment to a man for killing his parents in Panchagarh.
Judge Anisur Rahman of Panchagarh additional district and sessions Judge’s court passed the order on Monday (Sep 24) with Tk 10,000 fine for the convict.
The convict is Manjurul Hasan Shanto.
According to case statements, the convict Shanto slaughtered his father Mizanur Rahman and mother Sulatana Akhter Rena in their house in Old camp areas of Panchagarh town on March 22 in 2015. On information, when police rushed to the scene, Shanto also stabbed two cops. He was sent to jail. Later Shanto’s elder brother filed a murder case with Panchagarh police station.
