Over 10,000 people marooned as 10 villages in Hatiya flooded
A lot more than 10,000 persons in Hatiya in Dwip upazila of Noakhali are marooned due to flood water.

Most of the homes, crops and shops were damaged as 10 villages in 3 unions have been flooded following rise of water found in the rivers.

The problem will continue for following some times as full moon on Monday.

Resources said the areas were flooded as being an embankment was first collapsed during storm Amphan which is yet not fix.

Fishes were destroyed due to flood water.

Upazila executive officer Md Rezaul Karim said, "We tried to get hold of with Water Development Panel to repair the embankment. But we didn't connect. Now, union parishad will repair it."
