Number of inbound tourists in China grows steadily
The number of China inbound tourists has grown steadily and the service quality has been well recognized, according to a new report on the development of inbound trips in China.
China Inbound Tourism Development Report 2019 was released by China Tourism Academy on November 27th. According to the report, the scale of the inbound tourism market has maintained steady growth; the market structure has continued to optimize, and improvements in service quality have been recognized by incoming tourists.
In 2018, China received 141 million inbound tourists, an increase of 1.2 percent year on year. According to the forecast of the China Tourism Academy, China's inbound tourism will continue to grow in 2019, and inbound tourism revenue is expected to exceed 130 billion US dollars.
Asia is China's main tourist source market, accounting for about 60 percent of the foreign entry market, followed by Europe and North America, accounting for 20 percent and 10 percent respectively, the report showed.
It also pointed out that inbound tourists have high satisfaction and a sense of patronage associated with having trips to China. Inbound tourists generally think that the price of tourism in China is more reasonable, the cost performance is higher, and the evaluation of satisfaction is higher.
Meanwhile, an increasing number of individual visitors choose to visit China. While paying attention to freedom, inbound tourists are more willing to deeply experience Chinese lifestyle and cultural characteristics.
The report also proposed that as the integrated development of culture and tourism will inject new vitality into inbound tourism product development and destination marketing, local governments should step up their efforts to innovate in this field.
