New Zealand skipper away of Bangladesh ODIs with injury
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will miss this month's one-day overseas series against Bangladesh as a result of an elbow injury, the Black color Caps said Tuesday.

The team's medical supervisor Dayle Shackel said Williamson had a tiny tear in his still left elbow that had been irritating him for a few months.

He said Williamson had attemptedto manage the injury while still performing without victory, forcing him to sit out the three-meet Bangladesh ODI series, which commences on March 20.
"He now needs a amount of rest and rehabilitation to achieve the injury right," Shackel explained in a statement.

Instructor Gary Stead said the New Zealanders wanted Williamson's harm handled before they contest the inaugural ICC Environment Test Championship last against India in June.

"We want to make sure we have Kane match and firing for that," Stead said.

"We will surely miss his category and leadership in the approaching Bangladesh series, but his omission will no doubt present a chance for another person when the ODI squad is known as."

The squad to face Bangladesh is due to be named on Thursday.
