Mushy gets injury scare
Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim got an injury scare today after a ball hit him on the thumb of his right hand during a practice session.
Bangladesh are undergoing training ahead of the second Test against West Indies, scheduled for November 30. Mushfiqur, one of Bangladesh batting’s mainstay will be heavily relied upon as the Tigers look to clinch the series. An injury would spell trouble for the Tigers with just a day left before the start of the second Test but BCB chief physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury informed after having looked at the X- Ray report, that there was nothing to worry about.
“He has some pain in his finger after being hit. X-Ray revealed that there was no fracture in his hand. I don’t think there is anything to be worried about, but since he did get hurt today, he did not bat any further and will rest for the rest of the day as a precautionary measure,” said Dr. Debashish.
