Munshiganj DC tested coronavirus positive
Munshiganj deputy commissioner Md Moniruzzaman Talukder offers infected with coronavirus.
The 45-year-old DC has gone into self-quarantine at his official residence soon after receiving his coronavirus test derive from NIPSOM in Dhaka.
Samples from his body were sent to the NIPSOM for coronavirus tests on, may 14 last. Earlier, Additional District Magistrate Khan Md Nazmus Shoaib tested coronavirus positive. Due to holding a gathering with him, samples from 27 individuals including all of the officials of district administration were sent for coronavirus tests.
Of these, the Munshiganj DC and Deputy Director SM Shafique of the neighborhood Government Division tested coronavirus positive.
Moreover, a lady doctor at the Munshiganj District Hospital has contracted coronavirus.
District Civil Surgeon Dr Abul Kalam Azad confirmed it on Sunday afternoon.
He said 35 more persons have already been tested coronavirus positive at six upazilas of Munshiganj district on Sunday. They include the DC, Deputy Director of any office of DC beneath the Ministry of MUNICIPALITY and a lady doctor at Munshiganj General Hospital.
