Moushumi joins 'Yes News Bd' as editor
Dhallywood legend Arifa Pervin Zaman Moushumi has joined as the editor of an online news portal named Yes News Bd on her 45th birthday on November 3. The announcement came from a press conference at her restaurant Mary Montana in Uttara on the same evening. Though the site is initially started as an entertainment and lifestyle news portal but it will cater more news in future.
Moushumi said: "Previously I worked as the editor of a magazine's special edition. Today I am starting my journey as a full time editor of a publication. It was a long dream of mine to enrich Bangladesh's journalism sector. My father would have been very proud to see this. I also want to thank my husband Omar Sani for giving me the courage, support and inspiration for this."
Moushumi also announced that Yes News Bd will soon launch their official YouTube channel named Yes Max. Moushumi's husband Dhallywood film star Omar Sani will be the chairman of Yes Max and Shahedul Islam Shahed will be its managing director who is also the publisher of Yes News Bd.
