Mother, 2-year-old child found dead in Dhaka

DHAKA: Police recovered the bodies of a mother and her two-year-old daughter from a house in Dhaka’s Sabujbagh area Tuesday (January 23).
The deceased were identified as Shantona Akter, 25, and Mahafuza.
Sabujbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rahmat Ullah told Banglanews that they recovered the bodies from a house in Ahammadbagh area of Sabujbagh at around 9:30am. The bodies have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsies.
The mother might have committed suicide after killing the girl child, said the SI.
However, the incident is being investigated, he added.
