Mobile courts to visit cattle markets from Tuesday
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Fazle Noor Taposh on Mon said that the mobile courts will be operational in the makeshift cattle markets (haats) from Tuesday to make sure proper maintenance of health guidelines before Eid-ul-Azha.

The country is set to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, the second major festival of the Muslims on August 1.

The Mayor developed the remarks while talking to the journalists after attending a programme marking National Fisheries Week at Dhanmondi in the afternoon, UNB reports.

DSCC has leased 11 cattle market segments centering the Eid-ul-Azha and stern actions will be studied if anyone violates the guideline of health guidelines found in the cattle markets, he said.

“No one is permitted to extend the area of the cattle markets into residential areas,” Taposh said, adding that “There is absolutely no scope of settling illegal animal markets, it'll be strictly monitored.”  

Talking about the waterlogging issue of the capital, he said a task centering 10 ponds and canals of the location has been taken up to resolve the subject which will be submitted shortly.
