Mobile court's punishment: AC (Land) withdrawn
Jashore's Monirampur upazila assistant commissioner (Land) Sayma Hasan has been withdrawn for punishing three elderly men to carry their ears for not using masks.
Stern action will be taken after filing a departmental case against her, Public administration secretary Sheikh Yusuf Harun confirmed the problem on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the picture sparked huge criticism on social media.
The mobile court led by executive magistrate and assistant commissioner (Land) Sayma Hasan conducted the drive in different areas in the upazila on Friday afternoon.
Throughout their drive, the court punished older people men including a van driver and a vegetable vendor in public areas in Chinatola Bazar for not using masks.
The executive magistrate also captured a image of the punishment.
