Miles is back together again
Good news for the fans of popular band Miles. The band members have resolved their differences as its lead vocal and bass guitarist Shafin Ahmed has returned to the troupe. The band will be seen with the same lineup as it was before in future. The band is all set to start practice soon and come up with news songs to its fans.
Earlier on Thursday, Miles made an announcement in a Facebook post indicating Shafin Ahmed's return to the team. The post read, "We are happy to inform all our fans and well-wishers that Miles have resolved their differences within the band and will continue to perform and record with the original line up, with immediate effect. We seek your blessings for Miles to continue its hugely successful journey in Bangladesh's music."
"It's official and we will soon come with more updates," said Shafin confirming his return. Formed in 1979, Miles is widely considered one of the pioneering bands of the Bangladeshi music industry and as the most popular rock band in South Asia.
Earlier at the end of last year, the lead vocal and prominent member of the band, Shafin Ahmed stepped down from his band to pursue his solo career. Shafin left the band pointing out a number of issues within the band members. He has left Miles once before. He left the band in 2009 and rejoined in 2010.
On the other hand, Hamin and other band members had accused Shafin of autocracy. In a press conference held in November 2017, Shafin had claimed ownership of the "Miles" brand name under the name of "Miles Band Ltd." He also filed a legal notice claiming that any activity under Miles's name belonged to Shafin only.
However, having Shafin Ahmed back with Miles, the present lineup of the band includes Hamin Ahmed (guitar and vocal), Manam Ahmed (keyboard), Iqbal Asif Jewel (guitar) and Syed Ziaur Rahman Turja (drums).
