Microsoft’s xCloud streaming is on its way to India
Microsoft’s competitor to Google Stadia could come to India as a preview in 2020. After the XO19 event in London yesterday, this became big news for Indian gamers.
The registration page where users could sign up for the preview is not live as of writing this story but we expect it to go up soon.
Project xCloud will allow Xbox gamers to stream their content on to their smartphones and tablets via the internet. With the expansion to new regions like India, xCloud will also make its way to Windows 10 PCs in 2020. Microsoft even revealed that the company plans to integrate the Xbox Game Pass library with the xCloud service next year.
While there are no concrete launch dates for any of the above yet, it would be better for the company to iron out any bugs and flaws in the service to ensure a smooth rollout to the public. Microsoft will also eventually be adding support for Sony’s DualShock 4 controllers on xCloud next year and many more controllers and gamepads will also be supported.
