Mashrafe collects AL nomination form
Bangladesh cricket team's ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on Sunday noon collected his nomination to contest in the upcoming general election from Narail-2 constituency with Awami League (AL) ticket.
He bought the nomination papers from AL’s Dhanmondi office around 01:45pm. AL general secretary Obaidul Quader handed over the form to Mashrafe.
AL joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Dr Dipu Moni and fans of the cricketer were present at that time.
Expressing his reaction after purchasing the nomination form, Mashrafe vowed to build a modern Narail by securing the victory with Boat symbol.
Before picking up the form, Mashrafe met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban to receive her blessings.
