Many in america oppose face masks, but Facebook will advise its use
Facebook said Thursday it would give reminders to its users to put on protective masks, giving an answer to the latest surge found in US coronavirus situations, which includes sparked renewed fears of containing the pandemic.

The social networking giant said it would include the alerts at the top of feeds on Facebook and Instagram, starting in america with plans to expand later on.

“With the rise in COVID-19 cases in america, we’re putting an alert near the top of Facebook and Instagram to remind everyone to wear face coverings,” the business said in a statement.

Facebook will also include additional prevention recommendations and links to public health agencies in it is COVID-19 Information Center.

Twitter appeared to join in the call for masks with a good sardonic message which described a good longstanding demand from users for a good tweet edit button.

“You might have an edit button when everyone wears a mask,” said a tweet from the state Twitter account, which was shared some 93,000 times within an hour.

The moves come amid a rift in a few parts of america on the necessity to wear masks, with some Americans rejecting the facial skin coverings as government intrusion.

President Donald Trump, who offers yet to be observed in public wearing a nose and mouth mask through the crisis, said this week he'd have “no problem” doing so under certain circumstances.

“If I were in a tight situation with people, I'd absolutely,” Trump said within an interview with Fox Business, as many US claims reported a surge in the amount of cases.

Health authorities expressed alarm last month when Trump held a good rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, without requiring attendees to wear masks.

Eight participants of his campaign personnel working at that function tested confident for the virus.
