Man and his 96 cats evicted from Spanish flat
SPAMA Safor said it did not have sufficient space to take all of them in as it had been housing some 200 cats.
Tormas said that they had collected 48 of the cats on Friday and were likely to get the rest down the road Saturday by making use of the owner, whom she referred to as a young man.
"It's a disaster. Someone must have helped he," she said. They had been tipped off by the neighborhood authority but had received no help to recover all of the animals, she added.
Shelter volunteers were working night and day to ensure all the cats were all dewormed and were being helped by a small number of other small animal charities, she said. - AFP
