Malaysian national held with 7kgs gold
Customs oficials arrested a Malaysian national along with 7 kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday night.
The arrested man has been identified as Cyan Gi Kiong, 47, reports UNB.
Othello Chowdhury, deputy commissioner (Customs) of customs preventive team, said the Malaysian citizen landed at the airport from a flight, OD166 of Malindo Air, at 10pm.
On information, the team challenged him after he crossed the green channel and recovered seven gold bars worth around 3.50crore searching his jacket, said the official.
