Mainak, Anindita star in a pandemic-affected love story
Debutant director Shouvik Mitra's 'Meow' is going to be a sweet slice-of-a-life modern-day love story. Starring Mainak Banerjee, Anindita Bhadra and Abir Banerjee in key roles, it's been shot around the picturesque Dwaranda, outskirts of Bolpur, near Santiniketan. The story bears the true feel and genuine flavour of Bengal as the protagonists Momo and Tintin roam around the unexplored locations.
The plot revolves around Momo and Tintin, a young beautiful married couple who possess differences of judgment in life, but interestingly they find solace in differences. While Momo (Anindita) is honest to goodness and little strong-willed, Tintin (Mainak) is merely the opposite in nature, an extremely soft caring lad.
Talking about the short's core notion and the touching story, Mainak tells ETimes: "Momo and Tintin's profound like allows them to come to be the support of every other. My character Tintin decides to follow his passion for film producing and Momo happily requires all of the responsibility of their tiny little family. But life comes with its own turns and twists. At the midst of their happy hassle-free lifestyle, pandemic hits the world and the country runs under strict lockdown.
Lockdown features its consequences; social isolation brings depression, stress, anxiety they were getting subjected to it. Their take pleasure in life got shattered as of this lockdown phase. After couple of months, life comes again on track and the couple chooses to provide a fresh new commence to their love existence as they plan a short trip.
What happened on their rejuvenating trip? Can they manage to recreate the spark within their relationship? Or it'll be lost, both their approach and their last hope? These pivotal questions lead the story of Meow." As the story is usually penned by the director himself, SwagotoBanerjee has composed the music and background score. Anir and Abhijit Bhunia have dealt with the camera works. There's one song which includes been sung by Someshwar Chandra.
