Mahbub Ali takes over as State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism
Md Mahbub Ali has taken over as State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism. He was elected Member of Parliament from Habiganj-4 (Chunarughat-Madhabpur) in the eleventh national parliamentary election.

The new State Minister met with the officials of the ministry and organisations under it at the Secretariat in the city on his first working day on January 8.

Speaking at the meeting, Mah-bub Ali said, "Keep aircrafts and airport tidy. Aircrafts bring in passengers while airports are gateways of a country." 

He urged all to work with honesty and devotion for developing country's promising tourism industry.

The State Minister added, "One crore expatriates living all over the world want to travel by the national flag carrier. The airport authority will have to make arrangements for them to come and go with ease. Plans have to be implemented, based on priority, to make outbound tourists inbound."

AKM Shahjahan Kamal, former minister spoke on the occasion. Md Mohibul Haque, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, gave the welcome speech.

Air Vice Marshal M. Naim Hasan, Chairman, Civil Avia-tion Authority of Bangladesh, Mohammad Imran, Additional Secretary, Akhtaruz-zaman Khan Kabir, Chairman, Bangladesh Parjatan Corpo-ration (BPC), Jahangir Hossain, CEO, Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), M Mosaddique Ahmed, Managing Director, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director, Hotel International Limited (HIL) were present.
