Lightning kills farmer in Nilphamari
A farmer was killed as a thunderbolt struck him in Jaldhaka upazila of Nilphamari Tuesday (May 21).
Deceased Mokbul Hossain, 60, was a resident of Khariza Golna village under Golna union of the upazila.
Golna Union Parishad ward-7 member Shyamol Chandra Roy said that a thunderbolt hit Mokbul while he went to take back his cow from a field, amid rain in the morning.
Jaldhaka Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
