'Kothao Keu Nei' hits YouTube
Marking the 71st birth anniversary of prolific author, dramatist, and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed, an original song titled 'Kothao Keu Nei', with the lyric written based on only the titles of 29 popular books by the author, has been released on YouTube recently.
The lyric of 'Kothao Keu Nei' is penned down by Neel Mahbub while the music arrangement of the song has been done by Sharif Sumon and Adit. Presented by Dan Cake and Sound Hacker, popular singers Yousuf Ahmed Khan and Tasnim Anika have lent their vocal to the song.
The launching ceremony of the song was held at a book café in the capital on Sunday. Among others, noted cartoonist Ahsan Habib, the younger brother of Humayun Ahmed, Ustad Yakub Ali Khan and singer Joy Shahriar were present at the program. Also, the representatives from Dan Cake and Sound Hackers attended the event.
The music video of 'Kothao Keu Nei' was released on the YouTube channel of Sound Hacker on Sunday evening. The shooting of the music video 'Kothao Keu Nei' took place at Beauty Boarding in Old Dhaka of the capital. Nahid Afroz Shumi has appeared as a model in the music video.
About the song, singer Yousuf said, "I have lent my vocal to the song by paying my utmost respect to Humayun Ahmed sir. It can be considered as an experimental work. We all associated with the song have given our best to it. The song has the fusion of classical and western music, which will create duality in the audience's mind. I am optimistic about the song."
"It was a unique work for me as the song is about the works of respected Humayun Ahmed sir. I am a very big fan of him. I have tried to render the song in an appropriate manner", Anika said on her part.
