Kabori receives lifetime achievement award
National film award winning actress Kabori Sarwar received lifetime achievement award named 'Raj Rajjak Lifetime Achievement Award' for her contributions to Bengali film at the Bengal International Short Film Festival in Kolkata, India.'I was staying in Kolkata during the liberation war and have visited the city many a time after thereafter. I have many fond memories in Kolakata. I am very proud to get this lifetime achievement award', said Kabori Sarwar.
Renowned local actor Alomgir inaugurated the fourth Bengali International Film Festival and the annual program of Bengal Film and Television Chamber of Commerce (BFTCC) hosted at a city five-star hotel on Saturday was a gala affair.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by popular Indian actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, actress Sabitri Chatterjee, Bratya Basu and BFTC president Ferdous Al Hasan, among others. Besides Kabori, Indian actress Sabitri Chatterjee received Hiralal Sen padak, and director Gautam Ghosh received Debaki Kumar Bose Lifetime Achievement Award.
