Jazeera Airways to start flights from Kuwait to Al Ain in December
Kuwaiti residents can now sample the tranquillity of Al Ain, courtesy of a new destination announced by Jazeera Airways.

Starting on December 8, the airline will begin flights from Kuwait International Airport to the Garden City. The announcement was made at a recent travel trade event in Kuwait.

The news comes after Abu Dhabi has seen a spike in tourism from the GCC country over the first half of the last year. According to the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), the capital registered over 15,000 Kuwaiti hotel guests, a 22.3 per cent increase, with an average duration of nearly three days per guest.

DCT Abu Dhabi regional promotions manager Nabeel Al Zarouni hopes the new route will result in more Kuwaiti’s visiting the city renowned as the country’s cultural heartland.

“Proximity and strong cultural ties between the UAE and Kuwait make it an important source market for us in Abu Dhabi,” he said.

“With its stunning views, rich heritage, and breath-taking nature, we see Al Ain as the ideal destination for family-friendly retreats and cultural excursions. Visitors to Al Ain can enjoy nature hikes, sightseeing, visits to some of the world’s oldest architectural wonders, and unique Emirati heritage experiences. Whether it is curious explorers, adventurers, families, or culture enthusiasts, we truly believe that various types of travellers would thoroughly enjoy visiting Al Ain.”

When and what time are the flights?

With a flight time estimated to be approximately one hour and 40 minutes, flights from Kuwait Airport will take off every Sunday, Monday and Friday from 12.05pm local time (11.05am UAE time). Flights from Al Ain Airport to Kuwait will take off on the same days at 3.25pm.
