Japan restricts foreign carriers to 100 travellers per flight
The federal government of Japan asked airlines to cut passenger numbers they carry in to the country from overseas through the busy fiscal year-end travel period because of concerns over the spread of fresh coronavirus variants.
The transport ministry notified airlines of the brand new caps on March 8 at medical ministry's request. They possess purchased domestic carriers to limit arrivals to 3,400 weekly, while overseas airlines are limited to 100 per flight.
