Jail authority’s involvement with IS cap not found
A three-member probe body formed for investigation into two convicts of the Holey Artisan Bakery attack case who wore IS caps at court premises on Wednesday (November 27) found no involvement of anyone from jail.
Caps bear symbol of international militant group-Islamic State.
The report was submitted to Inspector General (IG) of Prisons Brigadier General AKM Mostafa Kamal Pasha on Saturday (November 30).
Dhaka Division DIG (Prison) Tipu Sultan told Banglanews: “No one among jail authorities was involved with the cap that two convicts put on at court. The investigation report did not say anything about it.”
Aslam Hossain alias Rash, a death-raw convict of the case out of the 7, was seen wearing a cap of international militant group-IS while he was getting on the lift.
He was also seen chanting Takbir ‘Allah akbar,’ usually translated as “God is the greatest.” He put on a black cap in front of members of law enforcement agencies.
