India home minister Rajnath meets PM Sheikh Hasina
The visiting home minister of India Rajnath Singh paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the latter’s official state residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka Saturday (July 14).

Mutual efforts and cooperation to fight terrorism was among some other bilateral issues discussed in the meeting, said sources. 

Rajnath Singh came to Dhaka Friday (July 13), on a three day visit, at the invitation of his Bangladesh counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

He will attend the 6th Bangladesh-India home ministerial level meeting Sunday (July 15).

The meeting is expected to hold discussion on various issues including security, border management, consular service, steps against counterfeit currency, drug and human trafficking and travels in the two neighboring countries. 

The latest home ministerial level meeting was held in New Delhi in India in 2016.
