Immediate action for overtaking, rule violation: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed authorities concerned to take legal action immediately against the drivers for violating traffic rules or overtaking on roads.
She said, “No overtaking or irregularities will be tolerated. Traffic irregularities are to be stopped in digital way through installing cameras and taking immediate action.”
The premier came up with the warning while addressing a function held for laying the foundation stone of an underpass adjacent to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College (SRCC) in Dhaka’s Kurmitola on Sunday (August 12).
The premier also promised to bring to justice those responsible for the accident that took the lives of two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College.
