Meghna Alam is a beautiful and appealing young woman. She is the winner of the first Miss Earth (Bangladesh) -2020 organized in Bangladesh. She has represented Bangladesh for the first time in Miss Earth, a top-level beauty contest of the world. She is the first woman in the competition to stand 5 feet 3 inches tall and break the height barrier of the last 20 years. Due to Corona situation, she took part in the event coping with various adverse conditions in the midst of the epidemic. Being involved in social activities has made it easier for her to win.
Glamor girl Meghna said, ‘Miss Earth’ is an exception among beauty pageants. It emphasizes environmental awareness, conservation and social responsibility. So, the winners have to be involved in this activity. I have also worked with these issues in mind for the last one year. I will work to preserve the environment for the rest of my life.
On September 25, Meghna crowned Miss Earth (Bangladesh) - 2021 winner Umme Zamilatun Naima. She hopes Naima will continue to work to protect the environment from her place.
Meghna Alam won the Bronze Medal and Netizen's Choice Award in Miss Earth - 2020 for her talent. She is a Certified Mindful Leadership Trainer. The beauty has established the non-profit organization 'Ekottro Foundation'. She is carrying out nutritional food distribution, medical checkups and educational activities for the street children along with the youth through this organization. Her organization is working internationally to raise awareness about climate change.
"I have been working to protect the environment since I was just 10 years old," Meghna said. “The idea of ‘Ekottro Foundation’ comes after considering the overall situation. At present, Miss Earth Bangladesh is committed to building a digital platform for disadvantaged women. Through which they will recycle plastic products and sell them so that women can become self-reliant and play a role in preventing climate change.”
Meghna Alam, Ambassador of One Young World, has always attached importance to planting trees. She called on the well-wishers to plant trees on her birthday on October 2 through a post on social media. She said, “it is an absolute privilege to be able to breathe in this beautiful world. With enough trees, we can ensure a pollution free and beautiful nature for the next generation.”
Meghna Alam is working as a radio jockey in a private radio besides social activities to protect the environment. She has hinted to act in the future.
