How Ronaldo made Gosens 'feel small'
Atalanta full-back Robin Gosens has revealed a post-match story about Cristiano Ronaldo in his biography that made him "blushed and ashamed".
Germany international Gosens revealed all on the attempted jersey swap in his biography titled 'Dreams are Worthwhile'.
'After the overall game against Juventus, I tried to fulfil my imagine having Ronaldo's jersey,' he wrote.
'After the final whistle I visited him, having not eliminated public to celebrate... but Ronaldo did not accept.
'I asked: "Cristiano, can I include your shirt?" He didn't even seem at me, he just stated: "No!"'
The frosty affair occurred in the immediate minutes after Atalanta memorably dumped an ailing Juventus out of your Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Gosens was introduced late on as an alternative in the cup tie, while Ronaldo started from the off but found himself struggling to prevent his team collapsing.
And, after he was angrily waved apart, the Atalanta man possesses admitted to having felt crushed while his team-mates celebrated their triumph around him.
'I was completely blushed and ashamed,' he added. 'I went apart and felt small.
'You understand that moment when something embarrassing happens and you shop around to check out if anyone observed it? That's what I experienced and tried to cover up it.'
