Hefazat leaders meet home minister
Hefazat-e-Islam's leaders have met the Home Minister and demanded not to arrest or harassing some of them illogically. 

The demand came at a meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan held on Monday night.

A delegation of five to six leaders of the organisation went to the house Minister's Dhanmondi residence in the administrative centre at 10pm to meet up him.

Hefazat Nayeb-e-Ameer Ataullah Hafeji, Secretary General Nurul Islam Jihadi, Qwami Madrasa Education Board (Befaq) Secretary General Mahfuzul Haque, also the brother of Hefazat Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, Mizanur Rahman, and Habibullah Miaji, amongst others, were present in those days.

Sources informed that the leaders at the meeting said they aren't against the government. They had no movement against the government. Hefazat men are being arrested in fake cases. In addition they requested the Home Minister to reopen the madrasas.

On Monday, a court in Dhaka positioned Hefazat-e-Islam’s joint secretary general Mamunul Huque on a seven-day remand in a violence case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station. 

Several persons were killed after protests and strikes called by Hefazat-e-Islam in objection to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit last month sparked violence in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Brahmanbaria and Chattogram.

Numerous top Hefazat leaders have recently been arrested regarding the various old cases following incident.
