HC reading out Zubair murder case verdict

DHAKA: The High Court has started reading out the verdict upon the death reference and appeal in Jahangirnagar University (JU) student Zubair Ahmed murder case.
An HC bench of Justice Bhabani Prasad Singh and Justice Mostofa Jaman Islam is reading out the verdict. Hearing in the case earlier ended on January 9.
Deputy Attorney General Jahid Sarwar Kajol and Assistant Attorney General Nirmol Kumar Das move for the state at the courtroom.
Abdul Matin Khasru, SM Abul Hossain, Khairul Alam, Fahima Rabbi and Rana Kausar are moving for the accused. The state has appointed lawyer Shafiqul Islam to move for the accused who are absconding.
