HC orders to retake Janata Bank written test 
The High Court has revoked the written test for the position of Executive Officer of Janata Bank amid allegations of question leaks.

The HC bench of Justice Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir also ordered for a retake of the examination on Thursday (August 16)

Barrister Jortimay Barua moved for the writ petition while additional attorney general Momtaz Uddin Fakir moved for examination committee.

The chairman of the Bankers Selection Committee has been asked to take a fresh written exam, Suprokash Datta Amit told reporters.

Earlier, the written exam held on Apr 21, 2017. After the exam, many candidates complained of question paper leak. A total of 15 examinees, including Atal Kar, filed a writ petition with the High Court.

The High Court issued a ban rule on May 22 for hearing on writ petition.

On March 10, 2016, The Bankers' Selection Committee issued notification of appointment for 834 posts. The Social Science Faculty of Dhaka University got the responsibility for taking the test.

On March 24, preliminary examination held in the morning and afternoon. Around 2.5 lakh candidates participated in the test. Among them, only 10,150 passed the test. Later on April 21, 9,400 participated in the written test.
