Govt's joint secretary Zafar Ahmed Khan dies of coronavirus
Bangladesh Bureau of Figures (BBS) Director and Joint Secretary of the government Zafar Ahmed Khan has died of coronavirus infection.
He died at about 8:00pm about Saturday in the Government's Employees Medical center in Dhaka.
Zafar Ahmed Khan, who was simply the BCS (Statistics) Cadre's 9th Batch official, was first the Director of the Laptop Portion of the BBS.
BBS Director Standard Mohammad Tajul Islam said later Zafar Ahmed Khan was undergoing treatment at an exclusive hospital. After, he was shifted to the intensitive care device of the federal government Employees Medical center where he died.
He left behind his wife, a good son and a girl.
Zafar Ahmed Khan hailed from Barishal district. He will become buried at his village residence there.
A total of 11 officials of the administration have died of coronavirus so far.
