'Govt spends Tk 4 lakh for each and every coronavirus patient at ICU'
The government spends Tk 4 lakh on an average for the treating each one of the Covid-19 patients admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) of hospitals while Tk 1.30 lakh for each Covid-19 individual admitted to general wards.  

It had been disclosed by Wellbeing Minister Zahid Maleque even while addressing a seminar in "Universal Health Coverage Time" at Sonargoan Hotel found in Dhaka on Saturday. MEDICAL Economics Product (HEU) of medical Ministry organised the seminar.

MEDICAL Minister said the coronavirus situation in the united states is still under control owing to the able leadership of Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina and the efforts of a large number of health workers in the united states.

"The country's health sector possesses been providing free medical care to all because the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak. Statistics display that the federal government has put in Tk 4 lakh for each and every coronavirus person admitted to ICUs, and Tk 1.30 lakh for each and every patient admitted to general ward," he said.

Zahid Maleque said the federal government has stockpiled emergency medications, increased the quantity of coronavirus tests centers from one to 120, introduced central oxygen supply system found in 59 hospitals, and provided telemedicine services to around 2.5 crore people.

MEDICAL Minister said owing to the prompt initiatives, the coronavirus infection rate has been in order and the death count has gone down. 

He said the neighborhood Government still keeps the Urban Health Care system. "But, sufficient improvement in this sector isn't taking place as a result of insufficient manpower and necessary facilities."

Zahid Maleque laid emphasis on increasing the health spending plan, and recruitment of more manpower to make sure universal healthcare for all.

Secretary to Health Solutions Division Abdul Mannan, Director General of the Directorate Standard of Health Services Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, and Deputy Representative of the Globe Health Business (WHO) Dr Bhupinder Aulakh spoke at the event amongst others, while Director Standard of medical Economics Unit Dr Md Shahadat Hossain chaired the function.
