Google now lets users search songs by humming them
Google has added a fresh feature which will allow users to find a song simply by humming, whistling, or singing it.

Users will be able to utilize this feature by tapping the microphone icon in the most recent version of the mobile Google app. Alternatively, they are able to also verbally ask to find a song or can merely hit the "Search a song button".

The Feature should be available in a lot more than 20 languages, with the business confirming that they will be adding more later on. The matching tech won't require an individual to be always a good singer or use instruments, instead, the algorithm will boil the song down to a numerical pattern, or what Google calls its "fingerprint." That is an evolution of their existing music recognition tech, which uses the passive "Now Playing" feature to listen for background music to supply a match.

It ought to be noted that Google isn't the first to offer this feature. SoundHound's Midomi offers a singing search function, but the company lacks the resources and userbase of Google.
