GM Quader 'self-declared chairman' of Jatiya Party: Bidisha Ershad

Bidisha Ershad, former wife of late president Hussain Muhammad Ershad, foretells journalists after placing wreath and offering fateha at Hussain Muhammad Ershad's grave at Palli Nibash on Darshana crossing in Rangpur city early Friday afternoon on the occasion of the 36th founding anniversary of the party.

Bidisha Ershad, former wife of Jatiya Party's founding chairman and former president Hussain Muhammad Ershad, features said, "Jatiya Party has gone into life support. This party right now faces great threat of extinction. The Jatiya Party you see now is not really Ershad's Jatiya Party."

She was speaking with journalists after inserting wreath and offering fateha at Hussain Muhammad Ershad's grave at Palli Nibash on Darshana crossing in Rangpur city early Friday afternoon on the occasion of the 36th founding anniversary of the party. 

Bidisha Ershad said: "Jatiya Party has truly gone into life support. To be able to provide Jatiya Party back to its original form, I'll have Eric Ershad from Teknaf to Tentulia and from Rupsha to Paturia."

"We will go door-to-door along with contacting with Jatiya Party's former and present leaders in the united states to re-organize the party. We will fortify the party."

Expressing regrets, Bidisha explained, "In observance of any political party's founding anniversary, the leaders and workers led simply by the senior party leaders usually go to the grave of the founder of the party. I don't know very well what others carry out here. As a way to fulfil Eric's wishes, we've come within Rangpur and offered fateha at the grave of former JP chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad."

Terming GM Quader when the "self-declared chairman of Jatiya Party," she said, "I'll do my better to take youths and people by grassroots level to carry beneath the umbrella of the get together. If it can be achieved, there will have no scope of declaring oneself as the chairman of the party. We will stay careful in order that none may become self-declared chairman of the Jatiya Party in future."

Chairman of the Hussain Muhammad Ershad Trust, former presidium member of JaPa Kazi Mamunur Rashid, former presidium member Zafar Ahmed Siddiqui, director of Hussain Muhammad Ershad Trust Rubayet Hasan, Press Secretary ASM Sayem Saqlaim were present at that time.
