Galaxy Note 10+ ‘s 3D scanner app allows you to create virtual 3D models of objects
Samsung made its Galaxy Note 10 series available for purchase in over 70 countries today. The company released a new app to celebrate the launch. 3D Scanner, the app, is for the higher Galaxy Note 10+. The app makes use of the phone’s ToF sensor and lets you accurately scan 3D objects from the real world to create virtual models.

The app will likely also work with the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy A80, since these phones also have the ToF sensor on board.

You can find the app on Samsung’s Galaxy Store. Once installed, you can either open it like any other app, or even access it through Bixby Vision.

Creating a 3D model of an object would require you to scan the object from all directions and not include any nearby objects, which could also be detected as part of the same object. Samsung also states the app works best with objects between 20cm and 80cm. Once the 3D model is created, you can share it with others in the form of a GIF.
